News report shows traditional alarm doesn't work, March 9, 2008

I just watched a news report with around 5 children ranging from age 1 to 13. In the report a traditional fire alarm was set off while the children were asleep. Not ONE of the children got out of bed a practiced the fire drill the parents had taught them just a week previous. Then the following week the new crew did the same experiment using an alarm similar to this one. The children got up and out. Enough said. I'm sold!!

As a realtor, I buy these as house warming gifts for my clients with children. I give them one for each child's room. The parent of two myself, my sons have them in their rooms as well. The safety aspects of being able to record your own voice related to the fact that children react much faster to their parent's voices make this the perfect choice.

This is definitely in the "why didn't I think of that earlier" category. The parent's voice is far better to wake the kids, it's VERY LOUD, and you can also leave instructions to review your plan.
